As some of us already know Vermont Police Agencies are not well represented the legislative level. Bills are passed, studies are done, and decisions are made that ultimately affect our jobs and livelihood. Isn't it time we have a say in what's going on in our state and communities? Many Vermont Police Agency's are negotiating for better pay and benefits. Vermont has one of the lowest pay scales for police offers in the country. We do not have an unified state wide retirement system and each year it's introduced it goes nowhere. Encourage our lawmakers to pass a unified retirement system. |
While the legislature studies policing in Vermont perhaps they should look at the homicide rates and those who commit them. Does anyone out there see any correlation between juvenile offenders who grow up to be murderers in the state? |
